Description: | INEEXS STARTS FROM THE OBSERVATION THAT DIFFERENT SECTORS, MARKETS AND SEGMENTS HAVE UNIQUE REQUIREMENTS AND FACE MULTIPLE BARRIERS FOR ENABLING INTEGRATED SMART ENERGY SERVICES. INEEXS BUILDS ON A SET OF BUSINESS CASES THAT HAVE RICH POTENTIAL TO OVERCOME MARKET BARRIERS AND BUILD THE CAPACITY OF STAKEHOLDERS TO ADAPT IN AN INTERCONNECTED ENERGY SYSTEM. THE GENERAL OBJECTIVES OF INEEXS ARE TO: 1) PUT FORTH BUSINESS MODELS THAT INCENTIVISE THE ADOPTION OF SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGIES AND ACCELERATE THE ENERGY TRANSITION. 2) ADAPT CONTRACTUAL SCHEMES TO OVERCOME MARKET BARRIERS THAT LIMIT THE ADOPTION ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND RENEWABLE ENERGY TECHNOLOGIES IN THE BUILDING SECTOR. 3) CONTRIBUTE SOLUTIONS TO CO-DEVELOP AN INTEGRATED ENERGY SYSTEM UTILISING DIGITAL ENERGY SERVICES (IOT, SMART METERS, DLT). 4) INVOLVE MULTIPLE STAKEHOLDERS IN THE DESIGN (E.G CONSUMERS, ENERGY AGENCIES) AND REPLICATION (E.G SMES, UTILITIES) OF RESULTS. INEEXS AIMS TO MEET THESE GENERAL OBJECTIVES AND TO ADDRESS BARRIERS IN THE ABOVE-MENTIONED AREAS BY APPLYING PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS FROM ENERGY SERVICE PROVIDERS TARGETING PRIMARILY RESIDENTIAL USERS, AND PUBLIC AND TERTIARY BUILDINGS. |
