Description: 3D SCANNING OF THE GEAR PAIR (WHEEL - PINION) USING SPECIALISED REVERSE ENGINEERING SOFTWARE AND A PORTABLE 6 DOF ROBOTIC ARM TYPE CMM (COORDINATE MEASURING MACHINE) WITH A 2.8M WORK-SPHERE. THE GEOMETRICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE GEAR PAIR WILL BE EXTRACTED FROM THE 3D SCANNING PROCESS AND WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS FOLDER FOR THEIR REPLACEMENT. CALCULATION OF THE REQUIRED STRENGTH WILL ALSO BE PERFORMED IN ORDER TO REPLACE THE EXISTING HELLICAL GEAR PAIR WITH SPUR GEARS.
