Description: | PLASTIC POLLUTION CONSTITUTES A MAJOR GLOBAL ISSUE, WHICH HAS OCEN PROGRESSIVELY DETERIORATING AND CREATING A SCRIES OF ENVIRONMENTAL, ECONOM C, HEALTN AND AESTHETIC RAMIFICATIONS. GIVEN THE INCRCJASING USE OF PLASTICS IN A VARIETY OF AGRICULTURAL WORKS DURING THE RECENT DECADES, THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR, DESPITE NOT BEING THE MOST DELETERIOUS ONE. SEEMS TO BE ADDING INSULT TO INJURY. INDEED, THE USE OF P'OSTICS IN AGRICULTURE IS ESPECIALLY WIDESPREAD, SINCE THEY ARE UTILIZED IN A PLETHORA OF AGRICULTURAL APPLICATIONS. AS IT CON BE EASILY INFERRED, THIS WORSENING SITUATION ALSO ATTRACTS GREECE, A COUNTRY LACKING AGRI- PLASTIC WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, WITH A LARGE PERCENTAGE OF IT ENDING UP ON LAND EX IN THE SEA AND BEING ILLEGALLY INCINERATED HENCE, CAUSING DETRIMENTAL CNV/ONM CNTAL, BUT NOT LIM TOD TO. CONSEAUCNCES. THEREFORE, THERE IS ON IMPERATIVE NEED TO DESIGN, DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT A SYSTEM FOR THE DETECTION, TRACKING, RECOVERY AND. IF SX>SSIOLE. ENERGY UTILIZATION EX SAFE AISPOSAL OF AGRI-PLOSTCS. WITH A VIEW TO TACKLING AGRI-PIASTIC WASTE POLLUTION AND CONTRIBUTING TO THE SECTOR'S HARMONYATION WITH SUSTAINABILITY AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY PRINCIPLES. BLOCK AGROWASTE ATTEMPTS TO OCCOM.MOAATE THIS NEED BY DEVELOPING A STATE-OF-THE-ART. ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY AND ECONOMICALLY VIABLE INNOVATIVE OGRI-PLOST’-C WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. THE PROJECT W LL FOCUS ON THE DEVELOPM ENT OF A DECENTRALIZED PLATFORM BASED ON BLOCKCHAIN TCCHNO'OGY. PROVDNG CONTINUOUS COM MUNICATION BETWEEN CONTRACT FARMERS AND COLLECTORS OF AGRI-PLASFIC WASTE. IN PARTICULAR, THE OBJCCRIVC OF THE PROPOSED PROJECT S TO CREATE A HIGHLY RELIABLE INFORMATION NETWORK FOR ALL STAKEHOLDERS, THROUGH WHICH, FORMERS WILL BO ABLE TO INFORM THE COLLECTORS ABOUT THE TYPO, QUANTITY, DOTE O ‘ PLACEM ENT AND GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION OF OGRI-PIASTICS IN THEIR GREENHOUSES, USING ON ONLINE DISTRIBUTED LEDGER. AT A LATEX STAGE AND AFTER THE END OF THE USOFUL/FUNCRIONAL SERVICE LIFE OF THE AGRI-PIASTICS. THE REGISTERED QUANTITY WILL BE ABLE TO BE DECLARED OVA’LABLO FOR RECYCLING, WHILE THE COLLECTORS WILL BE NOTIFIED ACCORDINGLY THROUGH A SPECIALLY DESIGNED MOBILE APPLICATION. THE LATTER WILL COLLECT THE WASTE AND TRANSPORT IT TO SUITABLE UNITS FOR FURTHER PROCESSING, RECYCLING AND ENERGY UTILIZATION, THUS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING ITS MANAGEMENT C YC’O. THE SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROPOSED PROJECT WILL ICTAA TO THE DOVE'OPM ENT OF AN E LE C TIV E CGRI-PLASTIC WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, CAPABLE OF ENHANCING THE TRACEABI’ITY OF AGRI-PLASLICS AT THE END OF THEIR USEFUL LIFE AND THEIR FINAL USE OS WASTE, I.E. THEIR SEPARATION BY TYPE AND GATHERING BY FARMERS, THEIR COLLECTION BY NON-HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION COMPANIES, AND FINALLY, THE’/ UTILIZATION BY WASTC-TO-ENERGY COM PANES. THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF BLOCK AGROWASTE IS TO FORMULATE A DETAILED BUSINESS PLAN FOR THE SUSTAINABLE AND COMMERCIALLY SUCCESSFUL INTRODUCTION OF A COM PLETE SOLUTION, EXPLOITABLE IN BOTH DOM ESTC AND INFIXNATIONAL MARKETS, BY ISSUING THOROUGH TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS TO POTENTIALLY PARTICIPATING COMPANIES, REGARDING THE CREATION O’ COOPCRAT.VE RELATIONS AIM ED AT THE COLLECTION, TRANSPORT, MANAGEMENT AND UTILIZATION OF AGRI-PLASFIC WASTE. |
