Description: IN THIS RESEARCH PROJECT, THE EFFECT OF MOLECULAR WEIGHT AND ITS DISTRIBUTION ON THE CRYSTALLIZATION OF POLYETHYLENE MELTS WILL BE STUDIED. SPECIFICALLY, BY PERFORMING A PLETHORA OF ATOMISTIC SIMULATIONS OF COOLING AND DEFORMATION OF EQUILIBRATED POLYETHYLENE MELT CONFIGURATIONS THAT HAVE BEEN OBTAINED BY APPLYING THE MONTE CARLO TECHNIQUE, WE WILL INVESTIGATE HOW THE MOLECULAR WEIGHT AND ITS DISTRIBUTION AFFECT THE KINETICS OF CRYSTALLIZATION AND THE MORPHOLOGY OF THE PRODUCED SEMI-CRYSTALLINE MATERIALS.
