Description: | THE PROJECT CONSISTS OF TWO TASKS. THE FIRST TASK REFERS TO THE NECESSITY OF CONNECTING T THE BRIDGE REHABILITATION PROCESS WITH THE INVESTIGATION OF THE ADEQUACY OF THE EXISTING BODY, THE GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATION AND THE CONTROL OF THE EXISTING FOUNDATION SITUATION. THE TWO MAIN CATEGORIES OF INNOVATIVE CONTROLS WILL BE MATERIALS CONTROL AND RECORDING AND CONTROL OF BRIDGE BEHAVIOR UNDER STATIC-DYNAMIC IMPOSED STRESSES AND/OR ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIONS. THE SECOND TASK REFERS TO THE SEISMIC SHIELDING OF BUILDINGS AND BRIDGES (SEISMIC INSULATION, REINFORCEMENTS), WHICH IS AIMING TO ENSURE A HIGH LEVEL OF SAFETY, FUNCTIONALITY AND AESTHETICS FOR EVERY BUILDING AND BRIDGE AND AT THE SAME TIME PREVENTING SITUATIONS THAT COULD LEAD TO THE LOSS OF VITAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND ENDANGER HUMAN LIFE. |
