Description: | THE PROJECT FOCUSES ON THE DESIGN, SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF NEW NATURAL DEEP EUTECTIC SOLVENTS (NADES) AND THEIR USE IN BIOMEDICAL APPLICATIONS. NADES CONSIST OF NATURAL PRODUCTS THAT ACT AS OSMOLYTES, HELPING TO STABILIZE AND TRANSPORT BIOACTIVE SMALL AND LARGE MOLECULAR WEIGHT MOLECULES. THEY ARE BIODEGRADABLE, NON-TOXIC, AND EASY TO SYNTHESIZE. THE PROJECT AIMS TO IMPROVE THE SOLUBILITY AND STABILIZATION OF BIOACTIVE MOLECULES, SUCH AS FLAVONOIDS AND BIOLOGICAL MACROMOLECULES (NUCLEIC ACIDS, PROTEINS), THROUGH THE APPROPRIATE SELECTION OF NADES COMPONENTS. THE METHODOLOGY INCLUDES THE SYNTHESIS, PHYDICOCHEMICAL AND STRUCTURAL CHARACTERIZATION OF NADES AND THE STUDY OF THE STABILITY OF BIOACTIVE MOLECULES IN NADES ENVIRONMENT. |
