Description: THE CURRENT RESEARCH PROJECT FOCUSES ON THE STUDY OF OXIDATIVE ENZYMES THAT CONTRIBUTE TO THE DECOMPOSITION OF PLANT BIOMASS. RECOGNIZING THAT SEVERAL FAMILIES OF THESE ENZYMES HAVE NOT YET BEEN SUFFICIENTLY EXPLORED, THE RESEARCH AIMS AT THEIR ANALYSIS AND EXPLOITATION. THE PRIMARY GOAL IS THE ISOLATION OF HIGH ADDED-VALUE PRODUCTS, SUCH AS NANOCELLULOSE, FROM PLANT BIOMASS THROUGH THE ACTION OF THESE OXIDATIVE ENZYMES. THE RESEARCH OFFERS THE POTENTIAL FOR NEW APPLICATIONS AND ACHIEVEMENTS BOTH IN THE SCIENTIFIC FIELD AND IN THE INDUSTRY.
