Description: THE CURRENT PROPOSAL'S OBJECTIVE IS THE DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A STATE-OF-THE-ART, OPEN-SOURCE AND FREE SOFTWARE TO PERFORM PRECISE ORBIT DETERMINATION AND POSITIONING USING THE DOPPLER ORBITOGRAPHY AND RADIOPOSITIONING INTEGRATED BY SATELLITE (DORIS) SATELLITE SYSTEM. WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE PROJECT, THREE SATELLITE MISSIONS WILL BE TARGETED, NAMELY JASON-3, SENTINEL-3A AND HY-2C. VIA THE SOFTWARE, USERS WILL BE ABLE TO ESTIMATE PRECISE ORBIT STATE, DORIS BEACON POSITIONS AND A SERIES OF PARAMETERS OF ATMOSPHERIC AND GEODETIC INTEREST. DATA ANALYSIS AND SOURCE CODE VALIDATION WILL TAKE PLACE TO VALIDATE THE ACCURACY ACHIEVED. THE RESEARCH TEAM WILL PRESENT RELEVANT WORK IN TWO INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES AND PUIBLISH A SCIENTIFIC PAPER IN AN INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL. ADDITIONALY A WORKSHOP WILL BE ORGANISED IN THE HOST INSTITUTION TO PRESENT THE SOFTWARE AND ITS USAGE AND DISSEMINATE EXPERTISE AND CONCLUSIONS.
