Description: IN THIS DISSERTATION, BOTH BULK METALLIC GLASSES AS MATERIALS AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNOLOGY FOR THE FABRICATION OF OBJECTS FROM SUCH MATERIALS THROUGH THE FUSED FILAMENT FABRICATION (FFF) METHOD, WHICH BELONGS TO THE FIELD OF MATERIAL ADDITION MACHINING, WILL BE STUDIED. EMPHASIS WILL BE PLACED ON A SUCCESSFUL DESIGN OF A 3D PRINTING SYSTEM CAPABLE OF HANDLING CHALLENGING MATERIALS SUCH AS METALLIC GLASSES. EQUALLY IMPORTANT, HOWEVER, IS THE MODELLING OF SUCH MATERIALS WITH COMPUTER PACKAGES IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT AN EFFICIENT PRINTING SYSTEM THAT MEETS ALL THE SPECIFICATIONS THAT WILL BE SET.
