Description: | THE AIM OF THE PROJECT IS THE UTILIZATION OF BY-PRODUCTS IN ORDER TO SEPARATE AND RECOVER CHEMICAL ELEMENTS AND COMPOUNDS WITH HIGH ADDITIVE VALUE WITH AN EMPHASIS ON PRECIOUS METALS AND RARE EARTH ELEMENTS. FOR THIS PURPOSE, BY-PRODUCTS SUCH AS WASTE ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT (WEEE) AND RED MUD, A RESIDUE OF BAUXITE TREATMENT, WILL BE USED. FOR REASONS OF SEPARATION AND RECOVERY, A WIDE RANGE OF TECHNIQUES, SUCH AS LEACHING WITH MINERAL ACIDS, BIOLEACHING, ION-EXCHANGE SEPARATION WILL BE IMPLEMENTED. CHARACTERIZATION AND QUALITY CONTROL OF INTERMEDIATES AS WELL AS FINAL PRODUCTS WILL BE PERFORMED. |
